Walking by The Wind Shadow

All is changing and the way to read books too. What I want to say is that in a novel you can find a lot of characters with ordinary personalities, others could be stereotypes and not ever but sometimes you can find out that the main character is a city, while you are reading you feel that without it the story should be another one. Well, I explain all of this to speak about a novel that I loved when I read: The Wind Shadow by Carlos Ruiz Zafón where Barcelona is one of these characters. The plot of the novel happens in Barcelona during the forty years. The streets that appears in the book are nowadays well known by us.

In one hand I write about this because if you want you can walk by this Barcelona of forty (with a few of imagination) and visit the same places where the characters had been there. There are a tourist company which organise this kind of visit with an incredible tourist guide who read some parts of the book that gets you move on the story.

And in the other hand I want to encourage everybody who really love read to read this amazing novel and to make this original visit of Barcelona. I'm sure that all the people that have been made the route besides of enjoy it very much they have been learn a lot of new things about the old city center of Barcelona.

What happened?

Tom woke up suddenly and completely wet, he just had a terrible nightmare. Someone without face (he couldn’t see correctly) broke open a door from a private house where were sleeping the three members of a family: the father, the mother and their little daughter.

The burglar only wants to take some money (he knew where exactly was) but something went wrong, the little child listening a very tiny noise woke up and went to find out what was it. She saw someone in the dinner room and inconsciently she made a little shout which provoqued that the burglar turned up on his foot and saw the terrified child...

The alarm clock started to sound in Tom’s bedrom, he didn’t understand nothing, he was awake before, well maybe finally all was the nightmare. He took his daily shower and went to the kitchen to prepare his breakfast, as everyday he turned up the radio to listen the knews during his breakfast.

“ Strange burglary happened yesterday in our calmy city, a burglar who broke open a private house was surprised by the youngest member of the family, a six year old girl ...”

He turned off the radio without listened the end of the new, what was happened? It was a nightmare? He had some strange power? He couldn’t think correctly, better go to work and try to calm, he needed.

At work, some collegue asked to him :

- What happened yesterday night?
- I’m sorry I don’t understand what do you ask me – says Tom
- Don’ you? Go on, remember, I phoned you to ask about our tennis match this weekend and you ordered me to be quiet one second you were listening I don’t know what in TV knews, after that, we could’nt talk more, I think you felt asleep, it wasn’t like I explain?
- Well, perhaps, I don’t remember nothing, but that explain a lot of things, I were exhausted yesterday night, I came to bed early and I put on the TV to see the Knews, when they started to talk about the strange burglary you phoned me but how I was so exhausted I felt asleep and I dreamed with the last knew I listened. Well, I’m so sorry, what about the match?

Slow movement

I don't know if some else has the same feels about that I want to write. Well maybe is better if I start by the begining.

The month of December was awful for me : a lot of work, going fast to every place, an strange feeling about I don't control my time, ... and for this reason I think a lot in one subject we mention in class few month ago, and it's for this reason I make my recent post about something we spoke yet. Before write I reread all the information we have in relation with this subject and I have noticed if you read something with special attention or simply with interesting in you learn more things that if you only read by read.

After that I take my own points of view, I'm not a very busy person I only have a full time work and make an English course but theses only two "activities" are far from my home so it makes me waste a lot of time in the road, so maybe it's better to think what I need and what is more important in every moment in my life, because nowdays I don't enjoy any of the activities I do.

Last but not the least, for the New Year my wish will be enjoy more my time and try to learn and practise more about Slow Movement.

Different world

Do you ever think about an other world could be exists?

Im not talking about a world outside the Earth, I'm talking about underwater world.

This summer I did the Open Water Diver course, that it is a course to obtain the license to be a underwater explorer.

In spite of bad first fellings with all gadgets you need to go to underwater, and after overcome the strange experience to breath in a different way, all was more interisting and amazing.

My first dip was in Illa Negra in Aiguablava, was an incredible experience. The water sound it´s really relaxing .

So an other world exists very near to us, with their own rules, with they different and beautiful citizens. And you can stay there with them but without change nothing.

I'm a very very novice in this other world but I hope to enjoy it a lot in the next futur.

Tattoos

In fact I don't have any tatto but what it's true it's that I want more young than now I think a lot about it because the people who are closed to me they have one or more , but finally after think a lot I didn't find any important reason to make me one.

But like we say in Spanish " never it's too late" so I don't know what I do in the futur.
